chappaqua transformation, chappaqua - ny
This 1980s Westchester colonial is a transformation in the truest sense of the word: the entire house was stripped to the studs. While most of the interior walls remained intact, each room was custom designed from scratch with new flooring, moldings, and built-in cabinets. The addition of a screened porch just off the main family room now serves as a way for the homeowners to entertain both indoors and out. The design team added further definition to the exterior by including new bays and porch roofs. The striking colors add the finishing touch, giving the home the timeless charm for which Daniel Contelmo Architects is renowned.
